Best on black. This is another shot from the archives. There was a white egret rookery about 75 miles from my house that was amazing to see and photograph. The branches were everywhere so some cloning was required. Spring will come again but, sadly, this rookery is no longer there. I guess people got annoyed by their poop killing trees and started shooting at them and scared them off.

This is just so stunning Jane - you haven't just shown us a bird photo - you've shown us the real essence of the birds - their grace, their interactions, their wonder. I could look at this all day ... :)
