From our hike this morning. We got to Horse Creek which was three miles out from our starting place and discovered that to get to the log crossing (scary for me anyway!) we would have to walk through a bunch of deep mud. We decided to turn around and come back another day when it hadn't been raining for weeks. Pearl had a wonderful time nonetheless.

Wonderful light, and a wise choice to rethink that crossing idea. The log looks lethal anyway. Not for the gorgeous Pearl, of course, she'd just barrel through the creek.
