Black Oyster Catchers and Surf

Best on black. What a week, month, year! I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. The latest installment was 50+ hours without electricity having just recently filled our freezer to the brim with wild Alaskan salmon, poultry from Butcher Box, and a bunch of fruits and vegetables from our garden. Lots of time spent trying to find ways to save it all...luckily mostly successfully for now. Another big storm coming in tomorrow. I know I have NOTHING to complain about given what people deal with who are smacked with hurricanes but it still was really unsettling. I took a trip up the coast to shoot some high surf and was delighted to find these funny oyster catchers.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs. Sorry to be so behind but no electricity makes it hard!
Beautiful shot! Wonderful breaking waves. Hoping you won't have to deal with anything more for a while, Jane.

Nothing like a good Oregon Coast storm to soothe one. Hope your freezer issues get resolved soon.
