We went off for a late afternoon adventure last night. We had been planning a backpacking trip this month that got cancelled for an assortment of reasons so this was a bit of a substitute. We drove to the backside of Tahkenitch Lake for a picnic and a canoe ride. I've been wanting to get a shot of a kingfisher for a long time and got a chance too- though he really was too far away.
