Desperation by joansmor

Desperation

@homeschoolmom challenged me to take a black picture and include the number 19. It has been a dismal week for photography. Finally this afternoon some sun. So I went out to take a picture I had in the back of my mind that would satisfy the criteria. There is a war memorial somewhere that I would prefer to use but there isn't time to track it down. I haven't been to see my dh's grave since last year and needed to make sure it had come through the winter fine.

Not a fabulously exciting picture I am afraid. Hoping for better weather in the week ahead to get out and take some pictures. Got a couple up in the hills to use until then.
Nicely done

Nice share. A sweet and sentimental tribute.

It's black and has the number 19, it works! That was a hard challenge.

Well you certainly made the criteria. It really can be frustrating when the weather won't play ball.

I agree with you and with @karlow75 -- I wonder if an alternate version in b&w might portray the weather even more? Do you have silver efex?

Well I think you managed!

@jyokota For my challenge I wasn't allowed to change to black and white and the sun was finally shining when I took this. I would have loved to do a bw. But the challenge made me think.

@joansmor -- ah, I see. Challenges that place limitations also stretch our ways of thinking.
