Eagle Nest by joysabin

Eagle Nest

The Dogwood challenge this week was- Center Frame Portrait. Create a portrait that exhibits loneliness. I know a portrait of a dead tree is "out" there but this is a nesting tree for a pair of bald eagles.
That's neat how its surrounded by all of that green and there is that one tree... and interesting how the eagles live in it and it's so bare, nothing to camouflage them or their nest.

@jenp I don't think that they need to worry about anyone bothering them. This tree is protected from the road way and is fairly close to ponds that are stocked so they have easy time of it.

@jernst1779 Truly appreciate the fav, thank you. The lensbaby Sol45 is turning out to be a favorite lens to work with.

@shannejw I have driven by this for a few years now and finally took the time to stop and grab a shot. The eagles when they are nesting are so wonderful.

@golftragic Thank you so much.

@yaorenliu I wonder if the eagles like dead trees so they won't be bothered by other creatures? There is another nest about 5 miles away, dead tree as well.

@robz Truly grateful for the fav, thank you so kindly.
