PMAE No 67 by joysabin

PMAE No 67

A multi generational set. This is my father's chess set and my grandfather's small table which I painted as a chess table. A tad better on black.
VML seeing the original - for me - style of chessmen preserving the game's worldwide appeal.

@s4sayer Thank you so much, I didn't know that this style was the classic. I remember the set having a folding cardboard book like case, on one side was chess and the other backgammon. That has been lost to the ages.

@jerome Thank you kindly for the fav. I am so glad that I have this set. It means a great deal to me.

@ziggy77 Truly appreciate the fav, thank you so much. I am amazed that the pieces still have their shine after 60+ years.

@haskar Thank you a great deal.

@francoise Thank you so much. The set is a treasured memory.

@overalvandaan Not as often I would like, I learned as a child but am in no way good.

There are so many 'imaginative' chess sets around these days, but it's really nice to see a traditional one! & what a wonderful way to preserve your grandfathers table too. Great shot and dof.

@stephanies Please forgive my unforgivable delay in responding. I am making a manual list of my 365 work and realized I missed your comment. Thank you so very much. I really feel lucky to have these pieces.
