A 2-fer. The Dogwood challenge starts with this: Vision: Look Ahead
New year. New beginnings. New you. Look ahead. Interpret as you wish.
To start a new year, I printed off info cards to keep in my kit. I also joined the lensbaby challenge this month. This is a double entry for the Dogwood and Lensbaby Challenges.
Nice use of the Lensbaby, just enough words in focus to draw one's interest but enough blurry stuff to keep it mysterious.
Got to get my Lensbaby out again once I catch up with all the things I ignored while away.
Good choice for this challenge, I keep thinking I have to do something for this soon, but I am finding the lensbaby challenge very time consuming... Your info cards are a great idea!!
@helenhall So very grateful for the fav. Sometimes the lensbaby technique really works and others not so much. I am leaving my sweet 35 on my dslr and keeping my iPhone ones with me so I hope to be ready to snag a shot with them. I may just run up against the lack of idea wall during the month.
@blueberry1222 Thank you, I am almost never without my cheaters.
@gardencat I feel one of the best ways to learn is to 'do' so I hope that by forcing myself to compose in blur, I'll get better or just more out of focus than usual. :):)
@stephanies Thank you so much. I really wanted to use binoculars for this idea but I can't find them (yet). I thought to use the extension tubes and focus thru the binocs - give it a try. The cards come from ( https://photzy.com/ ) some are very very basic but somedays I can even forget my name :):)
@overalvandaan Thank you so much, they are reading glasses or as I call them - cheaters.
@nickspicsnz Thank you a great deal. The cards are a back up when I'm out in the field and I have a half-zeimers moment and forget even the basics. :):)
@mbrutus Thank you so very much. I have a set of lensbabies for my iPhone which are very cool and I can keep the set in my pocket. I do recommend them - not terribly expensive but well made.
This works. I haven;t done challenges for a while ... One thing I absolutely love about them is the fabulous variety of responses people provide to the exact same prompt.
