My Mother-in-Law's Threads

I was seeking "abstract mundane challenge- thread" when I saw this and while I realize that it isn't abstract in its representation, I wanted to remember my mother-in-law's role in my life, especially regarding thread. She was a home economics teacher and had a lot of threads around -- and she taught me about sewing, knitting, and other such things. 97 when she died, this needlework hung above her bed at the assisted living place where she had been for years. It now hangs in my atelier -- the attic to our house, designated for all my various hobbies.
Beautiful! When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was actually flowers.
