There were so many turquoise doors in the old city of Jerusalem. Though I am not inclined to street photography, my guide served as the "watch" and I held my camera and waited until he said, "Nuns coming up" and I did a burst of clicks.
This shot has a sense of today and strong sense of the local bustling context, while the other has a sense of timelessness and more of a bit of mystery. They accomplish two very different goals, to me. So really not comparable.
If I could I would fav this twice I would. I often wish 365 had a like button and a love button, and this would be a love! We all accept Nuns walking serenely as common fact! But seeing her doing the ordinary makes this shot for me, that and the comp, what a great guide you had!
@ukandie1 -- I have to tell you that as the nuns got closer, he exclaimed, "And they're drinking juice!" If you ever go to Israel or to Barcelona, let me know -- he owns a business in Barcelona and goes there regularly but he lives in Israel. Clearly, his passion is street photography. He said something about other kinds of photography being potentially perfect but a bit boring.
