--Christian Larson-- Went kayak fishing yesterday on Big Cedar Creek... we had several challenges from getting our kayaks down a steep, washed out embankment to finding out the place we had planned to take them out was gated and we had much further to go to get packed out. The tree over the creek was an interesting one... we managed to do the limbo and go under while walking beside our boats. It was a beautiful day... no fish for me but a nice 3lb spotted bass for my fishing bud... catch & release... didn't get time for a photo because that bass jumped right out of his boat!
Looks like storms have taken down a lot of trees - I can remember one time in the canoe when Bill took it under one of those trees with me laying down and a snake fell off the limb into the canoe - we both jumped out - don't know who was more surprised! Fun memories.
@k9photo Thanks... the water felt great... nice and cool.
@thewatersphotos thanks & yes... it was a much needed break and a lot of fun.
@kwind thanks... I took the shot while standing in the water next to my kayak... luckily it was waist high so I could walk and the current wasn’t too strong.
@marlboromaam thanks Maggie... I did have to duck just a bit.
@wakelys thanks Susan... sometimes that little GoPro camera surprises me... you can’t see what you are shooting... no view screen... it really is point and shoot.
@dutchothotmailcom thanks Esther... I made it through unscathed and the water was nice and cool on such a hot day... all in all very nice day.
@valerina no worries there... it is a GoPro Hero+ and is made to go underwater... it has a waterproof case and on occasion I’ve stuck it underwater on purpose to get a shot. It isn’t a very easy camera to operate and has no screen... just point and shoot and hope for the best.
@bubblequeen thanks Melvina... it was rather memorable.
Glad you had fun!

@milaniet so glad I didn’t see a snake... now my fishing bud... he loves snakes.
