—Oprah Winfrey-Ever since I was stung by a bee (I think it may have been a small yellow jacket) on a recent trip to the butterfly garden I’ve been a little nervous around bees… this carpenter bee was not happy having a macro lens so close by so I didn’t stick around long.
So pretty! I love how the colour of the passion flower comes through the translucent wings! Fav! (Yeah, I was stung by, I'm sure, a yellow jacket once while trying for the perfect capture. I don't know my bees at all, but my experience with "bumble bees" is that they seem quite placid. I don't know about these carpenter bees, though- you were probably wise to move along :-)
Great colors and detail in bee and passion flower. You were wise to move on, though. I was stung right on my front porch a few days and it bothered me for a couple of days.
