I might be Old, but I've still got my Bark. by ladymagpie

I might be Old, but I've still got my Bark.

I specifically went out to find this roadside tree as I had been here a few years ago to find a geocache hiding inside the base, yes it's still inside.

This is a tree hundreds of years old, half the top has been ripped off in the wind and the inside is hollow. Yet it still bursts into leaf each year and has survived through history, if only it could tell the things it has seen.

A shot overflowing with character. Love the texture of the bark. Fav.
