Many people make the choice of a life on the waterways and have their homes on these barges. I popped down to the start of the Thames and Severn Canal to look at these beautiful boats and the love that is spent on them.

Ha!...so thats their story; I have often seen these on the paddington to penzance run and wondered about them....i assumed they were just some form of canal pleasure craft......had no idea they were more permanent....lovely scene you have captured!
@ianrm Thanks Ian, it's your choice if you live on them or use them for pleasure. Therefore they don't have to be permanently tied up, get fed up you just move somewhere else.
Oh Happy days, This picture bring memories of my childhood. My parent would hire a boat every summer. I loved the slow pace of life. We would moor up at the local pub or anywhere we fancied. And saw some fab nature. :)
