I hope your're sitting comfortable as I have a tale of my Geocaching exploits of yesterday. I went to a small village called Nympsfield on top of the Cotswold Hills and the cache was located next to the St. Bartholomew Church in the picture above.
I saw the cache on a sign post just inside the field opposite the church, but to get at it I had to get between an old gate post and a Cotswold dry stone wall.
I gave up on my first attempt as I was much wider in all directions than the space. A good breath in for the second attempt, I was almost stuck fast and was really jammed in, I could see the local newspaper headline, "Fire Brigade sent to rescue Lady Magpie who was stuck in a stone wall". I managed to wriggle free and wondered whether to give up. No, the third attempt I manged to squeeze my rotund shape through, like a cork coming out of a bottle, and sign the log book. Now I had to get back which I managed again with a lot of movement and dislodging of stonework, I'm just glad that being in the countryside nobody was watching.
I consoled myself by taking the church picture for my 365 friends, now stop laughing will you.
A fav before I read the story and a double fav after hearing the tale. If you had been stuck, I'm sure you would have taken a very nice capture of your rescuers and I would have faved that too. LOL!
Great story and photo for me to giggle at for breakfast! Thanks. However, I'm sure you should have set your camera up and taken a photo of yourself stuck in a hard place! Fav
@virtualbrownie@gilbertwood@congaree Thank you friends for your comments and FAV,s and Denise, couldn't photograph myself as the camera was stuck in the wall as well.
@kathiecb@khawbecker@quickshots@top2042@juliac@snowy Thank you all for commenting and FAV's. I'm glad you like my tales, unfortunately they are true. Must tell you about my commando roll and being caught hugging a tree.
I will always think of you now when I hear that said. smashing shot of the church
