Another song comes to mind before I write my story for this picture today, who remembers Brenda Lee with her great hit “All alone am I”. Go on sing it.
A CRY FOR HELP.
I suddenly heard a whimper in the back of the garage and found this poor little rabbit hanging against the back wall. It turns out she’s been left here neglected for nearly 20 years with no friends to talk to or play with.
It turns out that she used to be in the owners bedroom, cherished and stroked many times. Suddenly the owner changed the rooms design and the rabbit was relegated to the back of this cold garage. She does see the odd spider or passing woodlice, but it’s just not the same as being hugged at bedtime.
She was a Christmas present from the owners Niece many years ago but she feels so unwanted and has come accustomed to exhaust fumes and the smell of paint tins. She sobbed “Please save me, I need a new home”.
The question to you all is, shall I bring her back indoors and what have you lost in the back of your garage that you once cherished or used. I know have a gilt conscience, have you?
Oh poor bunny, Annabelle would be so upset. You have to take her in and give her some carrot milk and a loving home.
I threw out a cherished teddy and have regretted it ever since
You MUST bring her in! Look at that face, how can you not?!?
I had a teddy that was given to me when I was a baby. I wore all the fur off of him. When I was a teenager, I put him in the washing machine because I was too lazy to hand wash him, and he disintegrated. So I had to throw him away - and to this day I have a guilty conscience about that. Great, now you have made me all teary . . . .
oh do bring her in and give her a nice cuddle! I don't think I've ever abandoned any of my furry creatures and I even saved my brother's teddy from the compost heap and I gave him back to him (having looked after him for most of my life) for his 60th birthday. He was so surprised and I wrote a poem to go with him.
How can you resist that face. She needs to come home and get warm! As for me. I let go of some of my favourite books. Those I read when a teenager. There was no room as the house we had when I first married so I took them to school. When I left to have my eldest daughter I didn't think to pick them up and they disappeared.
Oh Dear! I so did not need that story. Our house is full to bursting as both of us are MAGPIES, Lady Magpie. Neither of us will throw things out and it is becoming a problem. Teddy bears, essays, cars (both in and out of the house)books, fabrics, yarns, records, magazines..........
So you're asking the girl who has toys all over the house if the little rabbit should come in??? Of course she should! And you can take cute captures like this one!
