One of my neighbours has changed his car again which has caused me to go into dreamland once more. I know that several of you are looking at this beauty and thinking how nice it would be to drive through you home town and watch the heads turn as you park it at your local shopping mail.
Surprisingly I'm not dreaming about that at all, I'm dreaming of the days when I could get down low enough to slip into this Porsche, without actually putting my back out.
I had been invited, in fact dared, to climb into one of his previous sports cars and by the time I got into the seat I thought my backside was dragging on the road below. The fun started when they tried to get me out of it with both husband and wife pushing and pulling me. I finally popped out by turning over onto my hands and knees to land on the drive beside the car like a pet dog, they then had to help me stand up straight again.
Think I might give this one a miss and play with my Grand children's Dinky toys instead. View with the black background.
It's very smart. But I once had an MX5 and eventually had to sell it as it played hell with my back. And Jinks was a bit frightened having to sit in the front passenger seat!
Great shot Heather and a Fav. I had a red MR2 which looked a bit similar to this although it was more like a Ferrari! I had to sell it because I couldn't drive it when I finally got over my back operation. I wish I still had it but I suppose it's more sensible to have a Golf
Ah yes . .. well a friend of mine has one of these and took me for a spin. I must say, the most uncomfortable car I have EVER ridden in. And, yes, if you have the slightest of creaky knees or the slightest of wider than a Barbie doll's bum, this is not the car to have. Also it is in something like this that you realize just how bumpy a road is. I was not impressed. But is looks lovely in the photo ;-)
great story ... right said Fred one each end and PUSH...... were was the camera then Heather, I love the car and colour I think an old style Beetle is more me these days
LOL - what a wonderful narrative - a great stress reliever for the end of my ridiculously busy work week! And now I'm going over to view the other car!
