Out on one of my geocaching walks when I had to leave the roadside and go down this green tunnel, should I go or should I abort my quest, how many explorers have ask the same question?
You have to remember that I'm heading towards my very late 60's and I geocache on my own, much to the annoyance of my children. When I come to these decisions I always stop and have a look around to see if anyone is about and watching me.
There was a light at the end of the tunnel but must admit that I often stop again to see if anyone is following. This is also the reason I dress in a certain way with Lady Magpie's hat. From a distance I wouldn't get a second glance. (I know I wouldn't get a second glance close up either)
After about 100 yards of bushes it opened up to a gateway into a private garden, but the public footpath goes through this garden before another gate takes you into the fields behind. Skirting the edge of the field the geocache was located, signed and I made the return journey knowing the tunnel wasn't that bad. Mind you, if I was attacked they really don't know what they had bargained for.
Thank you for all your comments and FAV, glad the yellow flower brighten your day. View again with the dark background.
I share your concerns. I am usually on my own & some of the places I go I wouldn't be found for days. However it seems that real photography treasures are often a bit out of the way.
