As most of you know I live in an area of the Cotswold Hills known as The Five Valleys. It doesn't matter where you travel around the area you are bound to see a fantastic view somewhere.
This is not far from my home and looks over the village of Cam and onwards to the River Severn. Right in the center, by the river, you can pick out the grey buildings of Berkeley Nuclear Power Stations, one of the first in the UK. It opened in 1962 and closed in 1989, they have been removing the nuclear waste ever since.
Just in the distance you can make out the Black Mountains in Wales. View with the dark surround.
What a view like the Church left hand corner , was the power station water cooled as by the river ? As you were in engineering thought you may know .I went into Sizewell B a few times the A plant may take a life time to clean up they never planned so well for later.
