Please bear with me, it's Saturday again and I'm right in the middle of a live football match, feeding stats to the commentators, will catch up on your pics ASAP.
I thought this was a beautiful built lych gate in one of our Cotswold villages. The church is St. Bartholomew's in the village of Nympsfield, high up on top of a hill behind my home. Although the church dates form the 14th century the gate was was rebuilt in 1861 and is made from oak wood with a Cotswold stone slate roof and brick surround.
With the tree surrounding this churchyard entrance and only the sound of birds, it seems so inviting to go through and explore the church. Best view with a the dark surround if you have time.
Love this Heather. Have had to endure watching the highlights of the match the old man's team won whilst he commiserated so kindly that my team lost! Guess my thoughts !
