What's this Strange Plant

Now this has got me beat, the section on the right looks like a carrot in a hankie whilst the one on the left, well I'm embarrassed tomake to comment. This is all the same plant but not being a very good gardener I haven't a clue what it is, I'm sure you clever 365er's can enlighten me.

I was visiting my Brother-in-Law to sought out a problem with he's PC and TomTom GPS. I spotted this plant still in it's gift wrapping paper and was told that it had be a present from my Brother Alan to my late Sister Mo, just before she past away two years ago, fantastic to see it thriving with just simple watering.

Thank you all for your comments and FAV's yesterday with the haunted manor. I put it on Facebook and had loads of comments about how rude and grumpy the Princess was.

or arum lily.....eldest has 4 lilly's in his class I forget the plants only have one l.

My Nan always used to call this the peace lily (probably just a Yorkshire thing!)

My first thought was Peace Lily and it looks like Ellie agees. Whatever it is named, I call it Fav!

It is an arum lily and in parts of Australia they are regarded as pests.

I agree with Babs @onewing - arum lily and it's a pest in most gardens here! And i love @mzbull reply - definitely a yellow boy :)
