Thought I would go out and about the Stroud Five Valleys and take pictures of interesting landmarks. The hunt for that red and black leafed tree continues and I think I may have solved the mystery, that's for another day.
In the town of Nailsworth hangs this enormous copper kettle and reportedly said to hold 82 gallons of water, just think how many cups of Earl Grey tea that is. It is from the late 1800's and used to hang above a hardware shop in another nearby town.
There is an inscription on the base which says, "MY JUBILEE 1887", referring to the Jubilee of Queen Victoria, note the little kettle on the lid as well. After looking at that I'm thirsty now so I'm going to make myself a cup of tea, made in one of those one cup machines.
