I was just closing the blinds in my front porch when looking down the road I was confronted with this beautiful sky. I grabbed my camera and walked around to the road outside and took a few of pictures while standing in the middle of the road. I did have to move out of the way a couple of times for passing traffic.
I have this thing about posts, wires and TV aerials and try to limit as many as I can in my photography. In this case I was quite pleased they are there as they gave lovely silhouettes against that beautiful sky.
Whilst bent over in the middle of the road in the usual stupid photographers stance, my neighbours Daughter and boyfriend came out from the house opposite, to get into their car. "Taking some nice photographs Heather" they inquired. "No, I usually stand like this in the middle of the road with my camera glued to my eye", I replied with a smile, I followed up with "Do you think you could treat me as a roundabout as you leave". Thankfully they know my sense of humour.
Please look at this with the dark surround if you can.
It was a truly lovely sunset last night - and you are right that the usual clutter of tv ariels actually adding to rather than detracting from the photo in this case. Had to chuckle at your story.
Coming home from our daughters house last night I noticed the amazing sunset & I was very tempted to ask Harry to stop the car but I didn't. Yours is lovely & we never get tired looking at them do we?
