With the 365project down for most of the afternoon and evening, it seem to ruin various peoples chances of viewing our photographs. I decided therefore use another picture from yesterday's walk to make up for it.
Standing in the center of the new bridge, seen in yesterdays picture, I'm looking up the line of the restored canal. The buildings on the left are part of the early 1800's old mill, whilst on the right are the new apartments. They have been designed to look similar to the old mill buildings.
Such a lovely place to visit with the Council Offices also in the old mill buildings. Here are the council offices on the left hand side of this bridge I'm stood on:
I'm always pleased to see the canals through our built up areas transformed into places of beauty & usefulness. John Sargant travelled along our bit of the Lancaster Canal on his TV programme last night.
agree with Babs. How fascinating that the bridge is in-between the two...i enjoy the new, but i don't want the old to go away...i see a pasture near me that is for sale and sure to go to more homes......rather see the horses myself
