I'm still celebrating my team, Forest Green Rovers, beating Dover Athletic and securing a place in the Final promotion playoff at the famous Wembley Stadium next Sunday afternoon. The winner will go into the football league and for a little village team that would be incredible.
So what's my picture all about, well yesterdays 1-1 result wasn't a piece of cake, and in fact Dover were the better team on the day. It was therefore so important that we had won 1-0 at Dover last Wednesday to go though on aggregate.
I was out food shopping this morning at my local supermarket and the phrase "Wasn't a piece of Cake" came into my mind, I therefore put my camera into the shopping trolley to get my picture for the day. It's not very often you ask the assistant if I can take a photograph, "Not a problem" she replied, "But can I clear any crumbs away first". Would you believe I was good and didn't buy any of those lovely cakes and pastries.
Thanks for all your comments and if possible view this with the dark surround, it will make your mouth water.
Glad your team made it. Braintree didn't. They went 1-0 up away to Grimbsy and then lost 2-0 at home in extra time. They did brilliantly as part timers against a club with full time players.
@nickspicsnz I did ask Nick, but being odd myself I'm used to strange looks. Many strangers recognise me by my hat and come and talk to me about my photography on my Facebook pages.
I always got very odd looks when I ask to take photos in supermarkets - especially from younger staff who must think I'm just a batty old woman.
