I thought I would change to a pretty capture today, I can't be stupid all of the time, (Oh yes I can). This is the church on the edge of my village, known as All Saints Church in Selsley and is an early work by the important church architect G F Bodey.
The most important thing in this church are the stained glass windows by William Morris. It was built between 1861 - 1862 and paid for by a mill owner Samuel Marling who lived at Stanley Park House next door.
I've taken captures of this build before, designed in a South Tyrol style from near the spring, but to get this view I had to lean over the churchyard wall and beneath the trees. Note that as Christian burials go from west to east.
Sorry if I've been to serious with this capture but thought it deserved it.
@ladymagpie oops i forgot to hit the star... i'd give it 2 if I could. Thank you for the compliment. Many may say i behave as if i am 7 but as you get older its easier to get away with it!! p.s I have 7 grandchildren
This is an exceptionally beautiful, sunlit church scene, Heather. Great composition with the framing of bare trees. Loved the background info, too. Big fav!!
