It's been a WWW day again, that's a Wild, Wet, Weather day and I'm stuck indoors again. Yesterday I managed a trip up to a good friend home in a small village on high ground above the valleys, we shared a food delivery day and I was going to pick up my share.
The roadworks in the valley were terrible and as I waited at another set of traffic lights I notice this very small bus stop for a bright mural in its backdrop.
It shows the valley I was driving along which is just one of the five Stroud Valleys. You can clearly see the 3 types of transport running alongside each other. There is the road, the railway and the old canal. Looking at the size of the shelter and the bench, it doesn't look like many people catch a bus from here.
As a matter of interest the horrible blue tin building behind is a factory where I worked in the offices for 8 years in the 1970's. The made those metal ring binders you find in folders. It's currently being demolished to return it to the canal port and lots of flats will be built there looking over the canal basin.
