My Bathroom Mate (Poem) by ladymagpie

My Bathroom Mate (Poem)

It’s getting late, I need my bed
Many yawns coming from my head
The TV’s off and back door locked
Laptop closed, with a security block

Tablets taken to keep my heart ticking
Off to the bathroom, I’m no spring chicken
Everything washed, my last ablutions
Then taking the seat, my tummies solutions

Oh no, I’ve just spotted a nasty black dot
Beside the white door, my exit is blocked
What can I do, I’m ready for dreams
My neighbours will laugh, if there’s to many screams

I squeeze past my foe, my clothes on the floor
Into the bedroom my thoughts are so sore
I better get proof or my friend won’t believe
The monster that lives, in the floor to the eves

They run very fast; they have 8 legs that work
My legs are so old, I can’t even twerk
The picture is snapped, I grab my attire
Turn of the lights, into bed to retire.
And he is still alive??? Ahhhhhhh!!! Laughed and laughed some more over the poem...it's a must fav.
