Tribute

This bike stands out on the fence line of Butlers Orchard Farm along the road I travel to work. Today was the day I finally pulled over. As I sit and download the card to my computer I notice some writing under the white paint. I goggled the name I learn the story behind the bike. He was an avid biker on his way home when hit by a drunk driver. This driver had no business behind the wheel as it was his second DWI charge, this one deadly. It has been two years that I have been looking at this memorial. It is a sunny clear day but going though different presets in lightroom I think this is pretty close on how my eyes view this bike. A sad side to life.
Oh. What a sad story. This shot is terrific. I feel like it tells the story of Stan perfectly. Really nicely composed too. Because it is a moving pictures to me, this is a fav.

As I was adding this to my project I really debated if I should. The picture I took was so much more than I had imagined and did anyone really need to see this. I know for myself it will probably be one of the pictures that moved me the most so I decided I needed to include it in my project. I means a lot that you commented on it I wasn't sure anyone would and I would have been fine with that.

Sadly this is an issue that has touched many lives. A fitting tribute and should be included in your project, especially if it moves you.

Such a sad story but a beautiful tribute and a wonderful photo that you took of it, Leslie. I agree that it is a very important picture to include in your project. Also makes me angry that a second DWI should not have occurred taking this life.

This is a tragic story on so many levels. You are right to share it. I am sure that one of the reasons the tribute is there is to share this poor person's sad story.
