Fourteen years ago Chick Car entered my life. Oh the joy of the wind in your hair and the sun in your face. It was mid life crisis time and she made me feel young and free... my youngest had just turned 16 and had gotten his license. I excitedly offered him a chance to drive my new car and got " Mom that's a Chick Car" hence her name. Got the same reaction from the hubby. Oh well their loss. The last couple months problems started popping up. When her transmission started to fail a decision had to be made. Maybe if I wasn't having such a hard time with this 60 number I could have let her go. She went in for surgery and will enter the Dark sixties with me. You remember that neighbor growing up that didn't dress her age, OMG that is now ME ....
When it starts raining and you tell Chick Car to put on her big girl panties and she replies Fine just put my frickin top up ..... LOL
I love her. I had an original orange bug with those same flowers on her when I was in my teens. Wish she was still around. Every time I see one of these cars I have to stop, stare and remember the days! Keep her and enjoy!!
