Lerwick Zebra by lifeat60degrees

Lerwick Zebra

The early morning sunlight catching the Zebra that has been berthed in Lerwick harbour for well over a year now. Thought we were getting rid of it but looks like it is here to stay for a while. For those who haven't seen it before it is an accommodation barge for around 100 workmen working on the construction of the new gas plant about 30 miles north.
I'd forgotten what an ugly monster it is.

Very intersting barge, to say the least :) it must be fun to see it, but not permanently. Great capture. FAV and follow. Welcome to 365.

I recognised your shot! Why did they paint it that colour? It does seem rather ugly!

@feathers22 not sure why it's that colour - just it always has been and reduces the chances of anything hitting it because it couldn't see it!!
