Goldcrest by lifeat60degrees

Goldcrest

A thump against the window at this time of year generally signifies a mis-calculation from a Goldcrest and sure enough there it was dazed on the ground. Lifted him into a shoe box and into the garage to ensure none of the neighbourhood casts could pay an unwelcome visit. Surrounded with some sycamore leafs and after about half an hour he was off seemingly OK. Longest visit we've had in the box one year was 4 hours.
I nursed one of these back to health when I was a teenager, they are so small

Wonderful shot showing his golden crest. So good that you could aid in his rescue.

I get these thumps too and usually they live through it.
