It has been the Shetland Boat Week this week. Several boats on display onshore and in the museum and the chance to sail around the harbour is some of the older models on view. Typically enough on the day of my visit to see what was going on it was wet and windy.
Our nautical neighbours flags joining the Shetland flag in fluttering in the wind - Norway, Iceland, Faroe and oh yes Scotland.
This is a fun and colorful photo. Sounds like fun too. However, we've lived fairly close to the ocean all our lives, and we're still not boat or "water people". Like to watch the waves from the cliffs above the Pacific, but that's about it.
