There was much rustling going on and bits of twigs and grass flying out from the escallonia in the front garden. Not long to wait for the culprit this Redwing who hung around the bushes for about an hour before the approach of the postman saw him disappear. He disappeared to the back garden where he was feeding under the willows. Despite the bright red on the wing he was remarkably camouflaged.
Also saw first swallow of the year but can't think there will be much food about for him at the moment.
