Jerseyville railway station by ljmanning

Jerseyville railway station

Another local history outing today, to Westfield Heritage Village. The buildings are all still closed but you can walk the grounds and trails and, if you’re me, sneak photos through the windows.

The Jerseyville railway station was built in 1896, and served the TH&B (Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo) Railway Line. It was featured in the movie Anne of Green Gables and the Road to Avonlea TV series.
Oh! It oozes history. Nice shot!
