The Laura Owens exhibit covered many galleries at the DMA

Laura’s boyfriend built hand made furniture. To surprise her he designed beautiful modern furniture for her bedroom, to match her beehive paintings. It was lovely furniture! I hope I’m not boring you with all the Owens art!

Milanie Your photos have given me a trip to the museum without having to drive! I'm loving it. (I'm not a fan of city traffic - found a route home from Navarre, Florida to Little Rock without ever hitting an interstate - and all 4 lanes - kind of like the beach - very little traffic!)

I'm not familiar with Laura Owens (dare I say that when there is a whole show around her?!). And I don't have one single modern piece in my home but I do like the simplicity and clean lines of it. I hope the bed was comfy when they used it!
