“In the Dining Room”

I went to the Berthe Morisot exhibit at the DMA today. She was a legendary French Impressionist artist, her circle of artist friends included Cezanne, Monet, Manet, Renoir, and a few more. She married Manet’s brother Eugene Manet, he was her biggest supporter. She was a prolific artist, the main body of her art is of women. She did a series of paintings of household help, this piece showed a maid setting the dining room table, it was so beautiful in person.
Love the painting, will have to look her up. I haven't been to the art gallery in ages, think I need a visit soon.

I love her work and many times it reminds me of my favorite Impressionist Renoir. I've seen some of her work in person and yes, it is truly beautiful!

Great painting, she was one of the founders of Impressionism, a fact that was a bit neglected in decades after but justly rectified in time 👍😊 wish I could’ve seen that show ...too far away
