This is my English sand tea timer. The green sand is 3 minutes, the yellow is 4 minutes and the black is 5 minutes. Kind of a play for one of the words of the day: time 😊
Such a "posh" item - I love it , my little egg-timed is only a one glass waisted tube - I assume it is 4mins - its the way I like my eggs !! A lovely novelty way to illustrate - time !
I've never seen one that has 3 different times. The only problem I'd have with this is remembering which one I wanted to keep track of! haha Good shot for time!
@happypat the name on the top is “Thames Oasis Perfect Sand Tea Timer”, it has a British flag emblem on top as well. I purchased it from a lady who sold many different tea varieties, with varying times to be steeped before drinking.
@louannwarren Oh a tea timer...I didn’t read it properly! Never heard of a tea timer either....I like my tea bag dunked in & out quickly so no good to me! Ha ha!
