My book club met yesterday for the first time since March. We were at 50% capacity in the banquet room we use for meetings, with 23 ladies. We had a noted Dallas historian as our speaker. She presented a comparison of the USA’s 1920’s to this year of 2020. The comparisons were uncanny. It was wonderful to see everyone.
What a grand get together ! Unfortunately due to the increase of the coronavirus in the UK there can not be a gathering of more than 6 people together indoors or outdoors !!
Well you all look a very elegant group Lou Ann... lovely to see you all enjoying each other’s company...how we miss these group occasions. As @beryl says no more than six tougher here..new rules today. .
@happypat@beryl I am thankful we are at 50% occupancy of restaurants. Our meeting place had the sanitizer fog equipment, every morning and night everything is fogged and sanitized, it is harmless to humans, evaporates and leaves no residue. We learned yesterday that all the schools in the area are installing it in their buildings. A god send for our schools, for sure.
So happy to see that you got to do this again! And you made a lovely collage. My mom is excited too that her choir (in the Netherlands) is meeting next week for the first time since March. They are not allowed to sing, but drinking and eating is allowed :)
Our book club starts in October. Looking forward to getting together again.
