FoR Portraits 2

My friend Janis. It’s amazing what cropping and changing to black and white does to an image. Smile. Still bitterly cold, 1 degree with 16 wind chill. Lowest temperature on record here. Fireplace going strong, power still off and on every 30 minutes. Too many people have moved to Texas, our power grid cannot handle the power needs during this type of event. We have friends who have not had power for three days now. Snow tomorrow then things are supposed to warm up.
A super portrait , full of fun and happiness ! - yes it is quite fun cropping and and reverting to b/w ! . So sorry re your lack of power especially during this cold spell ! but I am sure you are so glad to have your fireplace going !

A very nice portrait. So sorry about the power failures. My niece, too, has no power. Fortunately, her neighbor fixed their fireplace so they have heat.

Beautiful and fun capture - sorry to hear about your electricity - I pray every hour for no outages for me or my family. We have 10 degrees here this morning - I had no idea it was that cold in TX - stay by that fire - sending good thoughts and prayers for a warm up soon!

@ludwigsdiana I thought about your past power issues during all of this. It’s amazing how much we depend on it.

Great portrait! I've been thinking of you and my in-laws who are in Corpus Christi. I know you're nowhere near each other but the power grid affects everybody. We here in the Northeast know what you're going through!

This is fabulous especially when viewed on black Lou Ann.

Sorry to hear about your power problems that glad to hear that you are getting power occasionally anyway! I know people on the West Coast that have been without power for three or four days and I can only imagine what that’s like especially in this bitter cold!

Happy to hear that your fireplace is still going strong!
Hang in there just a little longer! That is also what I tell Nadya. Fortunately they have had power (at least until Tuesday night), just no water since Tuesday morning...

@ingrid01 I was hopeful the university had water. We are looking forward to Thursday and Friday. Our water is frozen but we do have rotating power.
