We learned yesterday that the immunotherapy treatments failed to kill the cancer. Jerry is going to take a cancer pill now that targets and kills his type of cancer. Here the doctor is detailing the side effects of the pills and what we have to watch for. The cancer treatment journey is not an easy one!
Oh, Lou Ann! I am so devastated to hear that, as I am certain you must be. I really like the Composition of this photo, but I hate the reason for it. Know that you continue to be in my daily prayers.

@grammyn@ludwigsdiana@beryl@joemuli@dide@pamknowler@julzmaioro@koalagardens@Dawn@onewing@radiogirl@pcoulson@carole_sandford@olivetreeann thank you all so much for your kind, comforting comments, they mean so much to me. We know Jerry is in the best hands at the teaching hospital where he receives his treatments. They are on the leading edge of cancer treatments in our area, that means a lot to both of us. We appreciate this fine doctor so much, he’s a brilliant man, with a stellar reputation in his field of metastatic kidney cancer treatment. We are facing this ongoing challenge together, doing the best we can each day with whatever the day brings.
Oh Lou Ann, I'm so sorry to hear that, especially after seeing a photo of a happy Jerry having lunch at a restaurant earlier on my feed... I hope the pills work and the side effects are not too bad. I also admire your positive thoughts and appreciation of the hospital and doctor.
No...it is not easy at all. I am staying with my friend in Florida that unfortunately has bone cancer. She has her good days and bad days. She takes cancer pills and a shot every 6-8 weeks. Every year I get to visit is a bonus year with her...
Oh Lou Ann, working backward through your photos, I'm so sorry to read this news. Given your backstory, this is a very emotional photo! You've been in my thoughts so often, and I pray for Jerry that this pill is another opportunity for a good solution. You're a pillar of strength in Jerry's eyes, and an example for all of us, though I know there are times you may not feel that. Ken and I send the two of you our love. Happy Valentine's Day to you two sweethearts!
