Dont play bridge. I play Rummy O Very good to keep the memory sharp. I have been playing with my friend in hospital twice a week. She broke her legs!! We play 2 games each time
When I was in the Army one of the men I was stationed with asked who was interested in learning how to play Bridge. He taught three of us. That was a very long time ago! Never played it again after I was reassigned to another station.
A lovely blue composition. My Dad has got heavily into bridge and 'discusses' his tactics and latest scores with me several times a week. He is 84 and it certainly keeps him on his toes. it also keeps him from feeling the blues.
Use to play when I was much younger - barely 18 probably - but haven't played in nearly 60 years - I remember it was a fun game - we spent lots of hours in college playing bridge.
@777margo That is fabulous Margo. My parents used to play Rummy all their lives, so did I and my siblings. Obviously my children grew up playing as well. It is a fun game.
@skipt07 Like Skip above, we used to play it in the Officers Mess - the best and the worst (that was me) against the two mediocres.
Unfortunately the best was the Major, our boss, the two mediocres were Captains and I was a lieutenant so the boss was always my partner. Whenever I made a bad play, he would pound the table with his fist, point his finger at me and the conversation would invariably commence with "I have told you before . . . . . " LOL
