great capture of the gannet - we have them too - and they look very similar - he does look as if he's stretching his wings, because they fly and swim amazingly, but are so ungainly on land
@koalagardens Noo it is not injured. As Shanne mentioned, they are very ungainly on land. this one just came out of the water and was trying to keep it's balance ;-) @louannwarren No they do not trim their wings Lou Ann, they have enough space to fly if the wanted to. @jgpittenger thanks Jane, I still have so much to learn. To avoid the blown out highlights, would I have to up the shutter speed?
@ludwigsdiana do you have a way to do exposure compensation? If so, decrease it a bit. Otherwise upping your shutter speed or narrowing your aperture would help as light not as the camera doesnât adjust the ISO so that it keeps it at too bright an exposure. If you want, email me at jgpittenger@yahoo.com and we can âtalkâ more about how to adjust your camera
@jgpittenger That is so kind of you Jane. I do sometimes play around with exposure compensation, but only when I am out on my own. I so appreciate your help and advice. I keep looking through the manual, but there is so much and it is still new and rather confusing to me ;-)
