Ducks in waiting by maggiemae

Ducks in waiting

I think they got tired of waiting for the band to come and provide music. They are all asleep though if I had got any closer they would have upped and away! This is a lovely Edwardian styled bank rotunda in our Public Gardens and is used for concerts in the Park.

Three good things:
1. Had a wicked and sleepless night but have time for a nap further in the day.
2. A man is coming from Telecom to give us twice as fast broadband.
3. Leftover lamb roast.
They look so comfy.

I hate when I don't sleep. Enjoy your leftovers.

@happypat thanks Pat, although as you say we,can nod off at any time during the day, we don't! I always think it such a waste of time! However I don't mind John watching the many games of rugby that we have nowdays as I can disappear into the land of nod very easily then

Bank rotunda? You learn something new everyday here - I've only ever heard them called bandstands. It is rather lovely.
Nice shot, love the interpretation!

Sounds lovely to have a concert in the park. Does the Mandolin band play there? I can definitely see you up there doing "Ain't She Sweet?" in that ragtime version I saw on your video. Nice capture.

@olivetreeann We haven't been asked yet but maybe in the future, thanks Ann! That would be a good tune for our Victorian Festival in November!

funny you used the term rotunda. here they call that a gazebo. or maybe i just haven't met anyone else used this term. anyway, it's a lovely rotunda and i like it.
