In New Plymouth a new art museum has been built. It has reflective panels about three storeys high on the outside. Makes for interesting mirror images of course.
The sun was right in my face for this shot - hence sunspots.
Three good things:
1. New Plymouth seems to be a very nice place - good natural beauty and great activity options plus good cafes and shops.
2. I remembered what a mimosa was when I received one!
3. Great meeting with an adventurous grandson who took part in the Mongolian rally recently!
@snaphappi Not quite perfect, Maggie - the top of the building is cut off but if I went back further, there would be too much ugly road in front! Thanks!
Fabulous maggiemae.......you could be in some massive cosmopolitan city with very large sky scrapers! I went to New Plymouth once...a very nice place it was too. I remember that wand thing swaying about. We have some of those in Blackpool now, I think they pinched the idea from New Plymouth!
Wow, the reflections are great. Such an interesting building. Sort of reminds me of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Seattle, Washington. SImilar anyway.
Look at the place, so clean and shiny. I can imagine they help keep window cleaners in business. Some friends of ours are moving to New Plymouth next month, which will be a good excuse to visit them when we next come to NZ.
goodness gracious! i thought i have commented on this the first time it showed up in my feed! i forgot what i've said, but i do love reflections on glass walls of buildings which we have a lot of around downtown toronto. this is an awesome building and the reflections make it even more awesome! fantastic capture, maggiemae!
