Gliding into the Island of Sitka, we pulled back the curtains to see a wide harbour surrounded by high mountains and forested hillsides and islands. It was a beautiful day with sun and little wind. I sat up at the blunt end and suddenly saw this float plane come out of a little bay, start its take off roar and then disappear into the sky!
Three good things:
1. Bought a fluffy puppet for the new grandchild - I'm sure Grandad can provide the voice and actions.
2. A great photo op of the boat anchored in the bay taken from the land.
3. People watching with a new boat load of passengers is fascinating!
@happypat People are all so different. I had a difference of opinion with the smarty shop consultant who looked down at me - until I mentioned I had presented a book I had written on the boat and then he was full of apologies. He talked over the top of the daily Captain's message in his presentation (having talked for over a boring hour)
With all the wonderful things that you are experiencing is there a book in the offing like your mother's of her grand tour? Now that you have written that book about her travels you ARE an experienced offer.Amazing picture of the seaplane. Fantastic timing on your part.
