I normally post in the NZ morning but owing to an upcoming trip, my time will be taken up with trying to remember what I have forgotten!
An example of a well groomed hedge. I had just fallen off my bike - the front wheel went into the gutter and Ruby said, - what ho - I'm going to lie down! Of course I did too. No damage except to my pride and a skewed handlebar.
This trip involves a remote area of NZ and one we have never explored. Can only be accessed by boat and helicopter. No wifi and no cell coverage so will look forward to getting back online when we return in a week.
Three good things:
1. Meeting up with friends for this trip who used the bus to come down to our town!
2. Our GPS will come in handy for Manapouri as its not straight forward.
3. One of the trip's destination is Dusky Sound which "sounds" like a good place for a photograph!
Dusky Sound is a fantastic trip ... enjoy and look forward to your photo' s.. I too will be out of touch for 365 .. no wifi for us as well .. but we at the other end of the country.,. boat access only as well..
Can I come too? Lol! Your trip sounds amazing! Have a wonderful time in all that peace and quiet! Hope you didn't injure yourself when Ruby threw, you off! Take care!
I am excited and anxious to see shots from your upcoming trip. Sorry for your fall but it's ok since you are ok. Love your capture and composition. That hedge looks quite high.
Ooh dear, glad you are OK and no great injury except for your pride -- hope no one was looking !!!!
Have a wonderful trip ,and I shall look forward to see your photos on your return home !
Lucky you didn't get hurt and I do hope Ruby recovers too. Wow Dusky Sound - enjoy. I might be offline for the next 4 days as we are off to Denmark by ferry through Fredericton to Aarhus - the 2nd largest city in Denmark apparently.
Dusky Sound after a dusting in this lane sounds like a good plan! Have a wonderful trip (which I'm sure you will). It sounds like an amazing adventure! Will look forward to the pictures. This is a nice shot as well.
I'm going to have to go & get the map out again! Nice solid hedge there, Harry is thinking hedge at the moment so we can get it planted before next door move in. Someone diwn the road gave him three Leylandii which I hate! I told him he needs to trim twice a year but he's adamant that he's going to get more & plant a thick hedge for privacy same as the chap down the road! On his own head be it! Enjoy your holiday! Great to see Ruby & you in one piece!
I was just saying this morning to hubby, I wish I still had my bike. we were walking down Lake Shore and saw a few bikers. he gave both our bikes away, afraid I might fall and hurt myself. I told him, I might be 81 but I'm not old. he was willing to get me a new one. I declined.
Just glad you're ok and got back on the horse so to speak. nice warm colors make the hedge look beautiful.
