Pine Cones and Sweetgum Tree Balls

Sweet gum balls look very strange close up! They remind me of the Skeksis in "The Dark Crystal!" Spiney, prickly balls look like beaks and mouths when magnified! Ewww!
They look like petrified sea anemone to me! This shot is awesome. There are so many amazing shapes and textures to see.
