Had to say goodbye to my Dodge dually yesterday. Thus, the trip down I-77. It did more work around here than any member of the male sex ever did! I could fit two 4' x 6' round bales in the 8 foot bed, carry 4 passengers comfortably with the quad cab. Would tow and haul with the best of 'em! It was one truck I really loved to drive, too. That Cummins diesel never gave me a lick of trouble. My muscle truck was strong, dependable and "My Country Boy!" It will be sorely missed - a smooth and sweet ride. Dedicated to Ol' Gray... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBQ01X-1AlI&feature=relmfu
@melissapike He earned his keep and then some, Melissa. Won't be replacing him. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments about the shot angles! Really appreciate it!
C'mon now - be nice to us "male sexers" - if we weighed 5,000 pounds and had 300+ horsepower, we could get a LOT more work done! :-)
I gotta admit though - I love my Dodge truck, too.
Oh Maggie . . it's like losing an old friend. You did a beautiful job here in the collage and I have the feeling that it wasn't easy to take these photos. I traded in one of my favorite cars once and cried all the way driving it to the dealer. How corny is that! Your truck served you well . . and we do get attached.
Well, I'm sorry for the loss of your faithful servant. Looks like he was well-taken care of, a win/win relationship for as long as it lasted. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictoral tribute!
very nice tribute to your truck! though it is sad that you've had to give it up. funny how we become attached to our vehicles. I still miss the first car that my husband and I had together :( well, i'm sure you have lots of fond memories of your truck :)
What a sweet tribute and lovely collage. Quite coincidentally I become very attached to my cars as well. Back in the 90s I had a blue Lebaron I called ol' blue....I actually had tears in my eyes when I traded her in and worried about what was going to happen to her. Now I have "blackie" since 1998!!!!! And I would be even more devastated to give her up. Are you getting another pickup?
That's a cool truck , there's something about a girl driving a pick up that appeals to me lol but I'm sorry you had to let it go... I can tell it was a good ole buddy
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets attached to my vehicle.. Hubby always thinks it's weird, but you count on your vehicle to take care of you! Of course you should love it back, right?? I know someone will take good care of Ol' Gray
@buggus It is hard to let go of the things we love and with them, the dreams we had. But sometimes, it's what we have to do. I hope someone will take care of Ol' Gray. His diesel engine was just broke in and purring like a big cat! Thank you for your comments, Gal! Most appreciated!
