Carolina wild jasmine - Our South Carolina state flower. Filler shot and posting early for tomorrow's shot. Have a periodontist appt. at the crack in the morning. I know I'll get behind on your pics, but will try to stay caught up today and catch up as soon as I can when I get back tomorrow.
What a beautiful shot, Maggie. I love yellow flowers but not familiar with various varieties of them or plants as you are. Good luck at the Periodontist and hope your foot/ankle is doing better. When it rains it pours sometimes. Take care and do not rush back here.
@darsphotos LOL! Darlene, if I don't know about a plant I find and am curious, I just Google it. Anyone can do that and read and learn. =) My ankle is fine and I hope my gums are okay. Thank you for your lovely, lovely comments and the view! Much appreciated!
@joeboxster LOL! Those are the same leaves from last summer. They've been through the mill since then. They will get new leaves when the plant had done all of its flowering for the spring. I guess you could say it is an evergreen vine. =) Thank you for your comments. Hoping my gums will be fine so I can keep my teeth in my head! LOL!
@joeboxster It's more than that! LOL! The bones start to deteriorate that hold the natural teeth in place. Sort of like a severe osteoporosis of the jaw bone, etc. I still have my teeth and want to keep them forever if I can, but I inherited my grandparents' genes with gum and bone trouble.
Beauty of a photo, Maggie. It's trumpeting just for you . . and I'll be thinking about you tomorrow! Taking care of it sooner than later is key. Praying that the gums have not deteriorated to any great extent. I have some jaw (joint) pain from arthritis. It can be hell . . hope that you are not in pain. I know that your ankle must be recovering nicely. Can't keep us down, girlfriend. Don't worry about us . . we'll be here when you're ready. :)
@karenann Aww! You are too sweet, gal! Thank you for all of those kind comments. Hate to hear about arthritis in your jaw. That must be very painful. Is there nothing that you can do for that pain? Ankle is fine - was just twisted. LOL! No, can't keep us down!
@purdey Thank you, Sharon! Really appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments, very much.
@myautofocuslife Aww! Livia, you are so kind! Thank you! I appreciate every word you wrote!
It's a "come and go" pain, Maggie. The less stressed I am the better it is. Under stress, I clench my jaw too tight . . thus the pain. Just use hot packs and aspirin. And deal with it. Arthritis runs in my family. Bummer.
@karenann Yes, amazing sometimes how all my grandparents ailments are now on me and skipped my parents. But they say they can pass 2 or 3 generations before they manifest again. I've got arthritis, too, in my left knee, lower back and neck. It's tolerable though. Glad the heat packs and aspirin help. That stress just can get the best of us though. Wish we could eliminate it completely!
@lianasaarepera Appreciate those comments! Thank you, Liana!
@debsulzberger I prefer the smell of the wild jasmine to the domesticated white variety myself. I think it's less sweet but more powerful. Jasmine was the scent Cleopatra used to seduce Mark Antony, although I'm sure it was the Egyptian variety which may be totally different from this. =)
Nice shot and the word "jasmine" makes me dream, does it smell strong ? I ve never seen those yellow ones...
Good luck with your teeth and I hope your ankle is better today !
Have a nice day :))
@cocobella It's not as strong as the white domestic variety and that's why I like it better. Gums and teeth are holding their own and ankle is just fine! Thank you for your lovely comments, Corinne! Very much appreciated!
@sharritta Thank you, Sharon! Appreciate your kind comments!
@rmkk Aww! Thank you, Marlene! I'll do what I can. The wild wisteria should be blooming soon along with the wild dogwood trees in my woods. Got some wild cherry trees fixing to bloom, too! I'm doing fine! Teeth and gums are holding their own at the moment. Had a good check up and deep cleaning done this morning. My mouth is finally back to normal after it being so numb and looking and talking like a poor stroke patient. LOL!
@heidievans73 Thank you, Heidi! Hoping the frost didn't hit the wild wisteria last night with the temps dipping down to 30 degrees, or I might not have many flowers too shoot. =(
@lizzy_lu123 Thank you so much, Lisa! Appreciate your comments!

@cindyrez Thank you, Cindy! I think white jasmine smells much sweeter than the wild yellow trumpet variety. I like the white but much prefer the wild!

@peterdegraaff To me the white jasmine smells almost too sweet. This wild variety is wonderful without over powering the nose. Thank you, Peter!
@sangwann Thank you, Dione! =)
